---------------------- BGPCK 1.2
Last Minute Notes 26 JUN 90
---------------------
* DSZ is now used as the protocol driver. DSZ must be located in the
GTPATH. Protocols available from BGPCK include Xmodem, Ymodem,
Ymodem Batch, Zmodem, and Ymodem-G. If you have an MNP modem, you
can use the /G parameter to include the Ymodem-G protocol may be
used. If you are using a newer version of DSZ, you may wish to use
the /M parameter which will use the new MobyTurbo Zmodem. If you use
DSZ.EXE rather than DSZ.COM, use the /E parameter.
* All files need to be moved into the GTPATH directory, including the
help file, et al.
* The configuration file has changed vastly. Please take a look at the
file included and change yours accordingly.
* Doorway may now be used with BGPCK, however, there is a catch. You
must use version 2.06, which is still in beta testing. If you are a
registered user of Doorway, you may call Marshall's system and down-
load DWBETA.ZIP. Make sure you do NOT use direct screen write mode.
Also, please remember to do a /K:0.
* A "site" line is now displayed once the door is opened. There will
be many purposes to this line in the future. If you do not have a
BGPCK.ID file, it will say "Site #0: Unregistered Copy". BGPCK will
still perform everything EXACTLY the same as if it were registered.
I am planning to publish a list shortly of systems that are using
BGPCK so that users may know where to go. This seemed to be the best
way. To obtain a BGPCK.ID file, you need to call my system, open
door two, answer a few questions, and then use Zmodem to download the
file. Like I said before, the file is OPTIONAL.
* There were several cosmetic changes that took place.
* BGPCK now always marks messages <received> if it is bagged. The
option from the [C]onfig screen has been removed.
* The users now get more than one chance to download their packet if
the first time is not successful.
